The Journal was founded by late Professor R. Misra in 1974, to promote ecology and environmental sciences, particularly in the Developing Countries.
It is the official publication of the National Institute of Ecology (NIE) -
India's premier professional association devoted to ecology and environment.
It is published in association with the International Scientific Publications - the publication wing of
the Science and Environmental Education Society (SEEDS), [a non-governmental, non-profit making association registered in India as a Society].
